Drive to the free parking lot along the road connecting Valtournenche to Cervinia and discover Lago Blu. In summer, admire the clarity and the color of the lakebed, which, thanks to particular algae, creates emerald reflections. Walking the path around the lake, you suddenly come face to face with the majestic Matterhorn reflected in the water’s surface, an image that fills both your eyes and your heart. In winter, it’s surrounded by a snowmobile track, and while walking or snowshoeing around the lake, the mountains in the background remain perpetually magical.

Cross-country skiing in Cervinia

Cervinia, considered one of the most renowned winter and summer resorts in the Alps, is also known as "The Kingdom of the Matterhorn." Dominated by the imposing Matterhorn, you can reach a 3 km loop at the entrance of the village, surrounded by the Grandes Murailles mountain range, offering a varied route suitable for both beginners and experts. Thanks to the high altitude (2,050 meters), the Breuil Cervinia trail is open all winter with natural snow.
