Maison Orbit was born in the oldest hamlet of the town, Crépin, where the "main mule track" of Valtournenche passed and where some of the most famous Matterhorn mountain guides were born. Today the area still keeps the peace and magic that distinguishes the place and has become the most comfortable and strategic part of the country, as it is close to all points of interest but still secluded.

Numerous trekking routes branch off from the hamlet in summer. To Lake Cignana, the Conca di Breuil and many other panoramic points, and the beautiful snowshoe trail, which can also be traveled on foot, for 5 km immersed in the enchanted woods of Crépin. It finishes in the pastoral clearing of Liortiere with a magnificent view of Mount Cervino.
